Kinse lets you track your loved one’s upcoming appointments: doctor visits, social engagements, transportation pickups, and more. Reminders are woven into existing phone calls with Cora, not a separate appointment-only call type. Your loved one hears what is coming up during a conversation they already expect.

What appointment tracking does

When you add an appointment, Kinse stores the details and uses them in two ways:
  1. During phone check-ins and medication calls: Cora can mention upcoming appointments naturally in conversation, helping your loved one feel prepared without checking a calendar.
  2. Caregiver reminders: Assigned care team members can receive spaced in-app and email reminders before the appointment, based on notification preferences.
Kinse does not place a dedicated appointment-only call. Appointment context is added to scheduled check-ins and medication reminders.

Types of appointments

You can add four types of appointments:

How to add an appointment

1

Open Calendar

From the app, go to Calendar → Calendar, select your loved one, and open the day or appointment you need. For the week view and how Calendar differs from Timeline, see Calendar.
2

Click Add appointment

Click Add appointment to open the form.
3

Fill in the appointment details

Enter the following information:
  • Title: a short name for the appointment, such as “Cardiology follow-up”
  • Date and time: when the appointment takes place
  • Type: medical, social, transportation, or medication
  • Location: address or place name (optional but helpful so Cora can mention it)
  • Provider name: the doctor’s or contact’s name (optional)
4

Set recurrence (optional)

If this is a repeating appointment, such as weekly physical therapy, turn on recurrence and choose the pattern. Kinse handles repeating appointments once the pattern is set.
5

Save

Click Save. The appointment is added to your loved one’s calendar and can be mentioned in upcoming phone calls.

How Cora mentions appointments on calls

Before each phone check-in or medication call, Kinse checks upcoming appointments for that person. If something relevant is coming up (typically within the next few days), Cora may bring it up naturally. For example: “You have a doctor’s appointment with Dr. Patel tomorrow morning at 10. Do you need anything to prepare?” This gives your loved one a chance to ask questions, confirm they remember, or say if they need help with transportation.

Caregiver reminders

In addition to on-call mentions, Kinse can remind the assigned care team member before the appointment through in-app alerts and email, depending on your notification preferences. Text alerts for appointments are not available yet.
