# What is Kinse?

> Kinse fosters closeness through phone check-ins, medication reminders, and alerts. For yourself, a loved one, or both.

Kinse is a caregiving app that keeps you connected with people you care about through **phone check-ins**. Someone you support answers the phone and talks with **Cora**, the Kinse voice on the call. You see how calls went, medication confirmations, and alerts in the Kinse app. No smartphone or app is required on their end.

Whether you set up Kinse **for yourself**, **for a loved one**, or **both** (Hybrid), the same core experience applies: scheduled calls, gentle medication reminders, and a home page for everyone who helps coordinate care.

## What Kinse does

Outbound calls, one conversation at a time:

* **Phone check-ins**: Conversational calls about how someone is feeling, daily life, and anything on their mind. Kinse can notice signs of distress and alert you when something needs attention.
* **Medication reminders**: Reminders during calls, with confirmations tracked in the app. You see confirmed and missed doses.
* **Alerts**: Notifications to you and care team members when a call surfaces something important.

## Who is Kinse for?

Kinse fits more than one caregiving story:

**For yourself**: Want routine check-ins, medication reminders, and an easy way to keep family in the loop? Set up Kinse on your own number. You receive the calls; invited care team members get updates and alerts.

**A loved one**: You manage the account; they answer the phone.

**Hybrid**: Yourself and loved ones on one account, each with their own schedule.

**Family and professional caregivers**: Support multiple people from one home page, track medications, and coordinate with up to **4 care team members per person** and **8 account-wide** (not billed).

## Key benefits

**Simple for the person who receives calls.** They answer the phone. Nothing to install, no passwords, no new device.

**Everyone who helps can stay informed.** Invite care team members so updates reach the right people. Care team members are not billed separately from your membership.

**Clear updates you can act on.** How the call went, medication confirmations, and alerts help you see what happened, not abstract scores.

**Membership is priced per person called** on **Essentials** (\$29/month or \$290/year) or **Everyday** (\$39/month or \$390/year). Medication reminders are uncapped on both. Outbound phone check-ins need a paid plan. There is **no free trial** of live calls. See [Billing](https://docs.kinse.io/account/billing.md) for details.
